We came down that trail in the middle of the photo, turned around, and saw this mountain. This is the 2,236 m Giau Pass or Passo di Giau. The mountain in the picture, the 2,595 m Ra Gusela, has a mountain hut, Rifugio Nuvolau, perched atop it. The hut is just left of the main peak. Nuvolau is said to be the oldest mountain hut in the Dolomites.
