Sarah Weddington has died. She graduated UT Austin law school in 1967. Four years later she and her co-counsel Linda Coffee found themselves before the US Supreme Court where they successfully—by a 7 to 2 majority—argued Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion throughout the United States. A couple years later, I was a young university student and I volunteered for her campaign for state representative. She won and served three terms.
