Here is a rough map of our hike. Obviously there are no straight lines on the route, but the lines shown here link the places, largely refuges, where we stopped for the night. We made stops at:

As you can see we didn't quite encircle the Mt Blanc massif, for reasons that escape me. Upon leaving Champex Lac we skipped the next stop and the return to charming Chamonix. Instead, we took the bus to Martigny then a train to Paris, where we spent the next week.
