The village of Jungen, lower right in the photo, occupies a small meadow on a ledge above the Matter valley. Jungen is connected to the valley floor by a 4 km hiking trail as well as a tiny cable car. In the photo, our destination, Grachen, is on the left in the distance, on a hillside opposite.
