I'm still traveling vicariously so instead of cool Vancouver Island in annus horribilis 2020 it's hot Arizona in 1997.
Today's photos were taken from a moto tour of the southwest. We hit Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. Uneventful weather, just a little snow off the side of the road at high elevations.
We spent a couple of nights at the Arcosanti experimental community. It's about half way between Phoenix and Flagstaff, in the Arizona desert. Designed to integrate ecology and architecture it had some visually stunning perspectives though on close inspection it was a bit threadbare. It's populated by architects, students and their assistants plus the occasional tourist who rents one of the four sad cinder-block guest rooms.
