Doppelganger, film by Stan Douglas, Vancouver

Douglas' wonderful film takes the quantum mechanical concept of entanglement and applies it to an astronaut who undergoes an experimental teleportation. Alice, pictured, becomes entangled with her reversed twin, a story told with a split and reversed screen. Very entertaining and very well done.

Disasters under the sun, film by Jon Rafman, Canada

An engrossing Canadian film filled with faceless avatars that are continuously tortured. They represent a post-physical existence where all humanity is uploaded to a virtual purgatory.

Floating art, LED fan, Cyprien Gaillard, France

This floating and constantly-morphing figure is being displayed on a fan made of LEDs. The figure isn't particularly interesting, it is the floating in air look that's interesting.

Not sure what this represents. The US pavilion was not the worst, I'd likely give Spain that honor, but it did seem to be so much wasted space.
