We made it. Here we're at Augstbord pass—and note that it's called a pass, not a col. This is the final pass on the Haute Route hike from Chamonix to Zermatt. Or perhaps I should say, it's our final pass as between here and Zermatt you could, for example, climb up to the Europa hut, but for us this was the last. We felt good for the accomplishment and sad that the end was in sight.
But we weren't done yet; we had a way to go.
