We spent one night at Hotel Schwarzhorn. A charming old hotel. Emily and Gingie met us there.
Gruben is a small summer-only Alpine town. It claims the highest tree line in all of Europe. Long ago it was a stop on the cattle drive; cows summered in the Alpine meadows and wintered in the valleys, which sounds pretty nice.
