We are in the charming old town of Bath. We are here for a week or so, plenty of time to explore at a leisurely pace.
On arrival in Bath we dropped our luggage at the apartment on Green Park then we went for a walk. We headed for the center of town, past the abbey and the baths, both of which we'll visit soon enough. Today we walked along the photogenic River Avon, which is where I took this picture.
By the way, there are eight rivers in England named Avon. Reminded me of Boston with its duplicate uses of street names. I remember standing on the corner of, oh I think it was Tremont and Tremont. I attributed it to the guess that modern day Boston is the sum of several towns, each with their own naming system. No, I never researched this so do not take this as fact.
